WALK PLAY LOVE

Deborah Collins has cared for thousands (and thousands) of dogs and cats. After a career in the health care industry, Deborah began her training and professional development to begin to care for dogs and cats. For the last seven years Deborah has walked, played, massaged, loved and calmed the pets that have been in her care. Pet parents have trusted her with their "family members" while they have been away.

Deborah is now focused on bringing her many years of experience

along with her love of pets to a new venture

DiggityDogWalkers! Dog Walking and Pet Sitting!

"I am so excited to begin this phase of my work with pets! In a boarding facility any one pet may receive limited time and attention. While providing care in your home or on individual walks, I can focus on the needs of each pet". Boarding facilities and Doggy Day Care are great for some dogs. For others, the comfort of home and familiar surroundings makes more sense. I have seen many good intentioned pet parents bring their dogs to daycare only to find that there is not a good match of "playmates" for their oved ones. Many dogs return home from these facilities with stress induced ailments or even worse - injuries. Pet sitting eliminates the stress and concerns of integrating your pet into a boarding or daycare setting. You can rely on my many years of experience when caring for your pet!

Just back from dog sitting in sunny California. I loved spending time with Peyton and Cana. I also loved that I could go to the beach! The weather was Beautiful....in the 70's and lovely ocean breezes. While Atlanta is Burning Up Hot...please make sure your pets have lots of water & shade if they have to be outside. They will thank you!! If you can keep them inside...how about a mid-day walk or potty break? They will really thank you!! Happy Summer and here is to a cool down soon!

New Beginnings

Is there anything better than a new puppy in the family? My daughter Kara moved to Atlanta last fall. It has been so great having her here in Atlanta! Recently she fell in love with a puppy being fostered by her brother's neighbor. Within the week he was home with her, each of them learning to exist in a new world! He is the love of her life and she is captivated by his every move!

He is after all the cutest, smartest, most enchanting puppy in the world, according to Kara! (I happen to agree he is really quite special!). I will post pictures of them soon. So, here is to great new homes for puppies and to Kara becoming a new pet parent!

His name is Stouffer, like the frozen food line.

Over the next few weeks I will post some helpful information for those of you with new puppies in the family. With a few easy tips, bringing a puppy into your life can be a joy! Just ask my daughter!!

Faith loves to walk by the park, Lola loves everyone (and I do mean everyone!) well, you get the picture! Thank you also for introducing me to your friends and their dogs! Growing my business depends on my favorite clients referring me to their friends and family! It is much appreciated!!

Spring is arriving in Atlanta! What a perfect time to make sure your dog is getting the exercise needed to remain fit and healthy! Not only will your dog benefit from regular walks, you may find that your once hyper dog is not chewing everything in sight!! If your pet has any health concerns, check with your vet before beginning an exercise program. If able, walk...walk...walk!! Good for you - good for your pet! If you need help getting your dog the exercise he/she needs...long hours at work...too tired...rather watch TV...don't worry...I can help. Call for a consultation. I can't wait to meet your dog (and you too!!).

Finally, a Break in the Weather

What a welcome relief...warm sunny days are here, at least now and then. If you leave your dog outdoors while you are away, please remember: Leave access to fresh water, provide shelter, and don't forget that dogs left to their own devices can create problems.

Dogs may dig when bored or stressed. Neighbors may also get stressed if your pet barks continually while you are away. There have been reports recently of dogs being stolen from yards in the Atlanta area. Of course I would love to provide your dog with a walk, potty break or both! Your dog can rest comfortably inside and still get the exercise and breaks needed to stay happy and stress free!
